This tool analyzes your electrical usage data to identify potential billing errors and meter malfunctions by detecting:

Physically Impossible Readings (Red)

Usage that exceeds your electrical service capacity. For example:

  • 200A service @ 240V = 48 kW maximum power
  • Maximum possible in 1 hour = 48 kWh
  • A reading of 165 kWh in 1 hour is impossible (3.4x capacity)

Statistically Improbable Readings (Orange)

Readings that are extreme outliers compared to your typical usage:

  • Sudden spikes (>5x previous hour average)
  • Statistical outliers (top 2% most extreme)
  • Patterns inconsistent with normal consumption
āš–ļø Legal Notice: This tool is provided for informational purposes to help consumers identify potential billing discrepancies. Results should be verified and used as supporting evidence when disputing utility bills. We make no claims about the accuracy of utility meter readings without proper investigation.
šŸ”’ Privacy: All analysis happens locally in your browser. Your data is never uploaded to any server. This tool works completely offline.
